Bringing the Heat with This Sausage Recipe

As we start to enjoy the beautiful spring Texas weather, outdoor family get-togethers begin to happen. The grills comes out for good and cook-outs become a regular  past-time.  If you are tired of the same-ole same-ole and would like to spice things up, try making this sausage recipe, stuffed jalapeños, as an appetizer for your next outdoor party.

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Coat baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.   Cut jalapeños lengthwise, discarding seeds.  Mix cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and ranch dressing mix together.  Spread thin coat of mixture on each jalapeno.  Cut Shiner Smokehouse Jalapeno-Cheese Smoked Sausage into ¼” slices.  Toss sausage in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes (optional).  Arrange 2 pieces of sausage on each jalapeño.  Wrap each jalapeño with ½ slice of bacon.  Bake for 10-15 minutes.
